Extensive research and numerous publications have demonstrated that monacolins and pigments are the most abundant and bioactive constituents in Red Yeast Rice (RYR), known for their hypolipidemic effects. Through SunWay’s unique fermentation platform and exclusive Monascus Purpureus NTU 568 strain, we have successfully enriched our RYR with the naturally occurring active compunds Monascin (MS) and Ankaflavin (AK) while excluding Monacolin K. These potent substitutes provide a safer alternative, especially in light of the regulatory concerns surrounding Monacolin K in both the US and EU. ANKASCIN® 568 has been proven safe and effective, supported by over 20 years of research, including five clinical studies and more than 130 published SCI journals. In 2018, ANKASCIN® 568 received FDA approval as a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI).
