Geranylgeraniol (GGOH) is an endogenous diterpenoid alcohol synthesized in the human body via the mevalonate pathway, which also produces CoQ10, Vitamin K2, and cholesterol. GGOH levels decline with age and are reduced by certain medications, particularly statins and bisphosphonates used for osteoporosis.
