Weizmannia coagulans is a lactic acid–forming bacterial species first isolated. Separately isolated in 1935 and described as Lactobacillus sporogenes in the fifth edition of Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology, it exhibits characteristics typical of both genera Lactobacillus and Bacillus; its taxonomic position between the families Lactobacillaceae and Bacillaceae was often debated.
Weizmannia Coagulans BC09 screened and originates from plant, is manufactured in China and deposit under CGMCC No.22067 at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center. The strain Pediococcus acidilactici has been subjected to API 50CHL sugar fermentation pattern analysis and a 16 S rDNA sequence analysis. And it has resistance to acid and bile.
