Knowledge and networking session – After 30 years of DSHEA, the question is: What now?

The passing of DSHEA (the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994) made it possible for the supplement industry to grow and prosper. Celebrating the incredible amount of passion and effort it took to make the groundbreaking legislation happen three decades ago is important. In honor of this feat, we’ll show a recent documentary created by AHPA (the American Herbal Products Association), which details the story of bringing DSHEA to life. After, we’ll discuss how today much of the dialogue about DSHEA is whether it’s still effective amid today’s economy, technology and industry issues. This session will include a conversation with leading trade organizations, industry vets and other key stakeholders. We’ll cover what amendments might be beneficial, what the law must retain for industry success and everything in between. Be ready for varying takes, strong opinions and some laughs along the way.
