L-Citrulline

Information

L-Citrulline is a non-proteinogenic amino acid that plays an important role in the body's amino acid and nitrogen metabolism. It can be converted into L-Arginine in the body and subsequently contribute to nitric oxide production. Compared with directly supplementing L-Arginine, L-Citrulline is often used in sports nutrition formulations because of its role in the L-Citrulline–L-Arginine–nitric oxide pathway. It is commonly incorporated into pre-workout and performance-oriented nutritional products. L-Citrulline is widely used in sports nutrition, pre-workout supplements, dietary supplements, functional beverages, and active nutrition products. Key Features: Non-proteinogenic amino acid Precursor to L-Arginine in the body Involved in the nitric oxide metabolic pathway Popular ingredient in sports and pre-workout formulations Suitable for powders, capsules, tablets, stick packs, and functional beverages
