Information

Jungbunzlauer magnesium bisglycinate is produced by complete conversion of glycine with a magnesium source, citric acid for stabilisation and subsequent crystallisation. Magnesium bisglycinate is mainly used as a mineral source in food supplements, mainly tablets and capsules. As a chelated mineral it is preferred in many applications over inorganic sources because of its superior bioavailability and physiological compatibility. The chelate form protects the mineral from forming insoluble salts with other compounds, which would inhibit the absorption of the mineral in the body.
