Invite Only: Building Reliable U.S.–China Dietary Supplement Supply Chains and Market-Access Pathways
Information
For many U.S. supplement companies, visibility into China-origin ingredients stops at the immediate supplier or broker. Specifications and COAs may be available, but companies cannot always verify the manufacturer, site, lot, or testing methods—or determine who is responsible when information conflicts. U.S. companies seeking to sell finished products in China face a different challenge: market access depends on manufacturer recognition, product classification, the chosen trade pathway, and required evidence. UNPA and CCCMHPIE are developing a voluntary, two-way initiative combining direct supplier engagement, a technical dossier, and structured case records to support supplier qualification, clarify market-access conditions, and preserve lessons from each case.
Participate in the Initiative’s consultation and case-development process and register interest in the June 2027 U.S. industry delegation to CPHI China in Shanghai.
Four attendee takeaways
- Identify gaps in supplier-level visibility and accountability.
- Understand the two-way model, including the optional use of U.S. foreign-trade zones and market-access pathways in China.
- Understand how supplier identity, specifications, testing methods, and quality records can be reviewed together.
- See how documented cases can clarify market-access conditions and help companies navigate similar situations.
This session is invite only. If you are interested in the session please reach out to the sponsoring company.
