In 2018 Cambridge Commodities acquired the ingredient business of US-based raw and organic superfood wholesaler, Earth Circle Organics LLC to expand the Cambridge footprint into the North American market. ECO had over 20 years’ experience in food and beverage and had developed lasting relationships with growers around the world and customers across North America. The acquisition created a new division of Cambridge Commodities, operating as Earth Circle Ingredients in the US._
In 2019, Earth Circle Ingredients became Cambridge Commodities. As one team, the global vision was to become a leader in the nutritional ingredients sector, offering customers the highest quality ingredients and product solutions.
In 2020, we additionally acquired Ultimate Superfoods as part of our continuous journey to source the best superfoods and reach more customers in the categories we serve. Ultimate Superfoods began in the rich valleys of Southern California in 2003 and were at the epicentre of the raw and superfood movement. This further expanded our service and offering here in the US._
With these acquisitions, we continue to expand our product portfolio and therefore our customer base. Utilizing the global buying power of Cambridge Commodities, we can bring innovation, high quality and cost-effective products to our customers that meet the demands of a consumer-driven marketplace.
